Sheikh Mohammad (May Allah bless him)’s mother made a will to send her dearest son for study according to the wish of her late husband. In good old times Pakistan’s two cities Och Sharif and Makeli were very famous because of educational activities. People from all over the world came there to study. For instance Jalal-UddinBukhari (May Allah bless him) and MakhdoomJahanianGusht (May Allah bless him) are few of those who reached here after covering a long distance and spent their whole life for the preaching of deen and finally they were buried here. The graves of their mothers and other family members are in some other countries while they are buried in Och Sharif and Makali. The spirit of the service of deen ran in the blood veins of our elders; thus no hurdle came in their way. The mother sent her son and wife sent her husband to seek knowledge and serve deen.
Today all these things have become historical incidents. Contrary to this, now people suffer separations and distances just for the sake of worldly things. You might have heard a man went abroad, studied at Oxford, started teaching there, got married there and finally died there. Now these sacrifices are made just for the worldly things.
The examples of leaving kith and kin for spiritual studies are confirmed to that very blessed age. An elder man's mother asked him to go to other town for attainment of knowledge. He told her that he had nothing to eat there. His mother did domestic chores at the people's houses collected two hundred dry breads and sent him to the other city.
